INOMET Tablets
INOMET is indicated for the management of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and associated metabolic dysfunctions such as insulin resistance. It helps regulate menstrual cycles, improve ovulatory function, and addresses vitamin deficiencies (folate, B12) often present in these conditions or due to medication use.

This combination medication primarily works by improving insulin sensitivity. Myo-Inositol and D-Chiro-Inositol are isomers that act as insulin sensitizers, improving glucose uptake and utilization in cells, and regulating ovarian function. Metformin hydrochloride is a biguanide that reduces hepatic glucose production and improves peripheral insulin sensitivity. L-Methylfolate provides a bioavailable form of folate essential for cellular processes and DNA synthesis, while Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B12) supports nerve function and red blood cell formation, addressing common deficiencies and metabolic needs associated with conditions like PCOS.

Each film coated tablet contains: Myo-Inositol BP 550 mg, D-Chiro-Inositol 13.8 mg, Metformin Hydrochloride IP 500 mg, L- Methylfolate Calcium 0.5 mg, Methylcobalamin IP 750 mcg. Excipients q.s. Colours: Red Oxide of Iron and Titanium Dioxide IP. Appropriate overages of vitamin added to compensate the loss on storage.
